\nI\u2019m concerned about what it can do to software jobs.
\nLast Sunday morning, I walked into my home office with a simple business idea.
\nBy lunch, IndianLaunchpad.com our India Capability Center brand was live.
\nNot a landing page a full site with a CMS, job postings, SEO-ready pages, a logo, and even the domain + DNS setup. Built end-to-end in under 4 hours, sitting alone, using vibe coding + AI. (And I last coded two decades ago)..
\nI\u2019m not sharing this to sound clever.
\nI\u2019m sharing it because it changes the economics of our work\u2014and that\u2019s a strong signal.
\nI run an IT services business. I have employees whose livelihoods depend on this industry.
\nI also have close friends and family in their 50s who\u2019ve spent 25+ years building software careers, mastery earned through real projects and real pressure.
\nAnd I have younger family members finishing a Master\u2019s in software, just entering the field.
\nSo when I see weeks of work compress into hours, I don\u2019t just say \u201cwow.\u201d I think:
\nAnd this isn\u2019t happening in a calm economy.
\nIt\u2019s happening with cost pressure, geopolitical uncertainty, tighter budgets, and shorter roadmaps\u2014everything pushing leaders to \u201cdo more with less.\u201d
\nSo the question isn\u2019t \u201cWill AI change software?\u201d
\nIt already has.
\nThe real question is: How do we protect careers and protect people while the ground is moving?
\nHere are a few shifts I believe matter now (for individuals and companies):
\n\ud835\udde6\ud835\uddf5\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddf3\ud835\ude01 \ud835\uddf3\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddfa \ud835\ude01\ud835\uddee\ud835\ude00\ud835\uddf8\ud835\ude00 \ud835\ude01\ud835\uddfc \ud835\uddfc\ud835\ude02\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf0\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddfa\ud835\uddf2\ud835\ude00:
\nAI is commoditizing tasks APIs, screens, routine bugs. Value has moved to outcomes.
\nDon\u2019t be like \u201cI write Java.\u201d
\nBe like \u201cI cut cloud costs by 20%.\u201d
\nTasks shrink; solved problems stay rare.
\n\ud835\uddd7\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddfa\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfb \ud835\uddf1\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddfd\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf5 \ud835\uddf6\ud835\ude00 \ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf5\ud835\uddf2 \ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddf9\ud835\ude06 \ud835\uddfa\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddee\ud835\ude01:
\nGeneric skills are now common. Generalists compete with every AI model.
\nBut if you know one domain deeply healthcare claims, payments, compliance ,you\u2019re harder to replace. AI generates code; it can\u2019t navigate real-world complexity.
\n\ud835\udde3\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf6\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf6\ud835\ude07\ud835\uddf2 \ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddf0\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfd\ud835\ude01\ud835\ude00 \ud835\uddfc\ud835\ude03\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddff \ud835\uddf0\ud835\uddf9\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfa\ud835\ude00:
\nResumes matter less. Proof matters more.
\nDon\u2019t say you know DevOps, Show the automation that cut deploy time from hours to minutes.
\nIn 2026, proofs beat claims.

\nRunway is a career strategy now.
\nSavings + low debt buys time to re-skill without panic.
\nDiscipline lets you pivot; pressure makes you settle.
\nThe goal isn\u2019t to do the labor any more…..
