\nThis is one of those stories.

\nTwo friends. Small dream.
\nThey wanted to eat clean. No junk. No sugar. Real food.
\nThey went to supermarkets.
\nSo many \u201chealthy\u201d products on the shelf\u2026
\nbut nothing that matched what they actually wanted to eat.
\nSo they did what real builders do.
\nThey went to the kitchen.
\nParents\u2019 house.
\nMixer in the corner.
\nDates, egg whites, nuts.
\nMake, taste, adjust. Again and again.

\nAt some point they were talking too much about plans and fundraising.

\nShowing up with boxes in the car.
\nListening to feedback.
\nFixing packaging. Fixing taste.
\nFirst months: a few hundred thousand dollars in sales.
\nSoon: a few million.
\nThen they entered bigger retail like Trader Joe\u2019s.
\nRevenue crossed 100+ million dollars.
\nIn 2017, Kellogg bought RXBAR for $600 million.
\nFrom a parents\u2019 kitchen\u2026
\nand $10,000\u2026
\nto a $600,000,000 exit in about five years.
\nNo big funding announcement.
\nNo unicorn tag.
\nStill a life-changing outcome.
\nWhy am I sharing this?
\nNot to say \u201cnever raise\u201d.
\nFunding is useful.
\nBut it is an amplifier, not a badge of honour.
