My 4th Startup failed and lost millions of my own
\nThose days I told everyone that I am building Unicorn
\nWhen we did \u20b9100 crores(\u20b9Billion)in sales our first year.
\nI thought it is easy to make unicorn.
\nAs an Angel Investor I Invested in 30+ startups.
\nBut I could not ask for my startup,Thats my weakness
\nMy first 3 startups had multi million dollar exits but 4th time I failed to make it big as I dreamed
\nI could never raise from external investors.
\nInvested my own millions in 4th startup But our competition raised 10 times
\nI use to get excited on GMV while losing millions in
\nbottom line
\nIt was foolish to focus on wrong metric GMV and
\nrealised later
\nIt became clear without external funding we can’t make big.
\nI was not good at raising so I had to find alternatives.
\nWe changed Business model to become positive
\ncashflows and we did.
\nRather than feeling as I failed considering as lessons
\nlearned.
\nThose lessons probably worth more than millions I invested.
\nMy Two cents:
\nJust focus on your business try to create best unit
