About Krishna Lakamsani

The Short Version

Krishna Lakamsani (full name Srirama Krishna Lakamsani) is a serial entrepreneur, angel investor, and the founder of A Foundery, a profit-first venture studio. He is Chairman of Lakamsani Group, his family office, and Managing Partner of TheSeedFund, through which he has invested in more than 30 startups.

A Harvard Business School alumnus (Owner/President Management Program), Krishna has spent 20+ years founding, scaling, and exiting ventures across telecom, IT services, e-commerce, payments, financial services, and talent platforms. He has been recognized as an Entrepreneur of the Year finalist by Ernst & Young, named to the NJBIZ Forty Under 40, and led a company onto the Inc. 500 list.

From Vadluru to the World

Krishna was born in Vadluru, a village near Tanuku in Andhra Pradesh, India, into a farming family. He earned a Diploma in Computer Engineering from AANM and VVRSR Polytechnic College, Gudlavalleru, followed by a Graduate Diploma in Information Technology from NIIT — and years later completed the Owner/President Management Program at Harvard Business School.

His early career took him from teaching (as a faculty member at SSI Ltd., where he trained roughly 580 students in Microsoft technologies) to New York, where he worked as a database administrator at 1-800-FLOWERS.com during the first dot-com wave, and on to BT Financial Group in Sydney, Australia.

  Telecom venture (DesiPhone brand) serving the South Asian diaspora in the USA. Assets sold to a New York telecom company.

• 2005 – 2012

  Infovision Technologies Inc.

  IT services firm recognized on the Inc. 500 list of America's fastest-growing private companies. Acquired by a publicly listed company.

• Acquired 2011

  Infovista Technologies Inc.

  Infrastructure management services. Acquired by an Indian services company.

• 2012 – Present

  Lakamsani Group

  Family office and holding firm for the group's operating companies and investments. Krishna serves as Chairman.

  iPay Tech India Pvt. Ltd.

  E-commerce and payments venture converting local kirana shops into online retail points — covered by Bloomberg, The Economic Times, and Business Standard. Multiple patents in payment systems and offline-to-online commerce.

  Dukanline

  Retail distribution platform. Technology assets acquired by an Indonesia-listed company.

• 2016 – 2024

  Finvesco Capital

  Non-banking financial company (NBFC) scaled 10X before being divested in March 2024.
