Most startups don’t die from bad ideas.

Most startups don't die from bad ideas.

They die from the 18 months before they find their first customer.

I've watched it very closely over the years ,As a hands-on builder and as an investor.

Month 1-3: Setting up legal, banking, and tools.
Month 4-6: Hiring a dev who builds the wrong thing.
Month 7-12: Realizing the offer isn't positioned right.
Month 13-18: Running out of runway still no paying customer.

Then they call it "bad timing."

It wasn't timing. It was infrastructure drag.

I know because I lived it.
When I built my first company in New York, I spent months reinventing operations that already existed. Payroll systems. Vendor contracts. Sales workflows. All learned through expensive mistakes.

Real money lost. Not paper money. Real money.

That's why A Foundery is built differently.
Founders who join get engineering, ops, and sales infrastructure from Day 1.

Not month 7. Day 1.

The 90-day clock starts on customer - not on setup.

If you are not creating a new market or inventing new technology, there is no reason you shouldn't have a paying customer inside 90 days.

The only thing stopping most founders is rebuilding what already exists.

Which part of your first year did you spend rebuilding something that should have already been there?
