Did you know that,Meeting start time plays very important role in punctuality of attendees?

That is right, Starting a meeting at odd times Like 9:09 AM, 10:10 AM or 06:06 PM will increase punctuality.

We used to have daily sales meeting before starting the day at 9:00 AM and before ending the day at 5:00 PM

Always people use to show up few minutes late thus meeting use to start always late.

15 yrs back I attended a workshop called “Mastering Rockefeller habits” by Verne Harnish. After I returned from workshop.

I called our head of sales and discussed about my learnings from workshop.

Requested to change the the daily sales meetings from 9:00 AM to 9:09 AM and 5:00 PM to 5:05 PM but It was not implemented.

I decided to make it as a habit. So I said I want to attend those meetings for few days and requested to schedule them at 9:09 AM and 5:05 PM.

We observed the change in punctuality.Since then we followed the same meeting schedule 9:09 AM and 6:06 PM .

Lessons that I learned was

1)You participate in the change you want to make along with your team until they make it as habit.

2) Start your meetings at odd times will increase punctuality
